If You're Just Looking

I'm Researching.

You're not ready to buy yet — you're trying to understand who Hebert's Ford is, why people trust the family, and whether this is the kind of dealership worth visiting. Start here.

Is Hebert's Town & Country Ford family-owned?

Yes. Hebert's Town & Country Ford is owned and operated by the Hebert family. Mark A. Hebert Sr. owns the dealership group, with the third generation — Beau, Chris, and Drew — actively running operations across all Hebert locations including the Minden Ford store. The family that sold to your parents is still here to serve you, and will be here for your kids.

How long has the Hebert family been in the auto industry?

The Hebert family has been in the Louisiana auto industry since 1981 — a 40+ year, three-generation track record. Mark Sr. is the second-generation owner who grew the family business into the multi-rooftop Hebert dealership group. The Minden Ford store opened in 2010 as part of the Hebert family of dealerships, operating under the same family standard that's earned trust across three generations of Northwest Louisiana drivers.

Why does it matter that Mark Hebert is LADA Chairman?

Mark A. Hebert Sr. serves as Chairman of the Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association (LADA) and as NADA Louisiana State Director. Industry leadership at this level means the dealership operates under elevated professional standards. When the person who owns your dealership represents Louisiana's auto industry to state and national policy bodies, day-to-day store practices reflect that accountability.

Do the three Hebert dealerships work together?

Yes. The Hebert dealership group operates three rooftops: Hebert's Town & Country Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (Shreveport), Hebert Jeep CDJR (Natchitoches), and Hebert's Town & Country Ford (Minden). Service records, customer accounts, and protection plans transfer between locations. If you bought a Ford in Minden but live closer to Shreveport, your records are accessible at any Hebert location.

Has Hebert's won industry awards?

The Hebert family business has earned recognition across multiple categories — sales, service, and customer satisfaction — across decades of operation. Mark Sr.'s LADA Chairman and NADA State Director roles are themselves a form of industry recognition: those positions are earned through peer-elected representation of Louisiana's auto industry. See our Awards & Recognition page for the full list.

If You're Ready to Take Action

I'm Ready to Buy.

You know what you want — or you're close. These are the practical questions about what we have, how to see it, and how to finance it.

What Ford vehicles do you sell?

We're an authorized Ford dealer carrying the full Ford lineup: F-150 and Super Duty trucks, the Bronco and Bronco Sport, Mustang, Explorer and Expedition SUVs, Escape and Edge crossovers, Maverick and Ranger pickups, plus a curated pre-owned selection. New vehicles in stock plus pre-owned vehicles that go through a multi-point inspection before listing.

Do you carry F-150 inventory?

Yes. As an authorized Ford dealer, the F-150 is one of our highest-volume new vehicles. We stock multiple trim levels including XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor variants subject to availability. The Super Duty F-250 and F-350 are also part of our regular inventory for work-truck and heavy-haul buyers.

Can I see what you have before I drive over?

Yes. Browse our full new and pre-owned inventory online before visiting. Each listing includes photos, pricing, equipment details, and Carfax history for pre-owned vehicles. We update inventory daily — what you see online reflects what's on the lot.

Do you sell pre-owned vehicles?

Yes. We carry a curated pre-owned selection across multiple makes — including Ford trucks and SUVs, plus competing brands. Each pre-owned vehicle goes through a multi-point inspection and Carfax review before listing. We also offer Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicles when available, which include extended warranty coverage.

Can I get a quote without giving up personal information?

Yes. Pricing is published on our inventory listings and we'll provide an out-the-door price without requiring a credit pull or extensive personal information. We don't believe in withholding pricing to force a phone call. If you want to test-drive or finance, we'll need a few details — but for a price quote, you don't have to commit anything.

What financing options do you offer?

We work with all credit profiles and a wide range of national and regional lender partners — including Ford Credit, major banks, credit unions, and specialty lenders for subprime and credit-rebuilding situations. Complete an online finance application in minutes for a real loan range that doesn't affect your credit score, then we work the application against multiple lenders to find your best rate and terms. Apply at hebertstownandcountryford.com/finance/apply-for-financing/.

What credit score do I need to finance a vehicle?

We work with credit profiles from prime to subprime. Higher credit scores typically qualify for the lowest Ford Credit and major-bank rates. Lower credit scores still have financing options through specialty lenders we partner with — though rates and terms reflect the credit risk. We'll be straightforward about what's realistic for your situation.

Can I get pre-approved before visiting?

Yes — and we recommend it. Pre-approval means you arrive at the dealership knowing your monthly payment range and total approval amount, which makes test-driving and final negotiation faster and clearer. Pre-approval doesn't lock you in — you can change your mind, change vehicles, or walk away.

Do you sell extended warranties?

Yes. We offer Ford Protect Extended Service Plans — Ford's factory-backed extended warranty product. Ford Protect coverage is honored at any Ford dealership nationwide, not just at Hebert's. We can quote you Ford Protect alongside your purchase, but it's optional and you can purchase it later if you decide to wait.

If You're Looking to Sell or Trade

I'm Selling or Trading.

You have a vehicle you want to get rid of — whether that's selling outright for cash, trading toward something newer, or just figuring out what it's worth. Here's how it works.

How does selling my car to Hebert's Ford work?

Three steps: First, get an instant trade estimate online in under 2 minutes — just enter your VIN or license plate, and our TradePending trade estimate tool generates a real number based on current auction and retail data. Second, bring the vehicle in for a brief inspection that typically takes 30 minutes from arrival to payment. Third, get paid on the spot — check, ACH transfer, or roll the value into a different vehicle. Your estimate is good for 7 days at any Hebert location.

Do I have to buy a car from Hebert's to sell mine?

No. We buy vehicles outright with no purchase required. Many of our sellers walk in with a vehicle, walk out with a check, and never browse our inventory — that's a normal Tuesday for us. Outright purchases don't come with worse pricing than trades, either; the TradePending trade estimate is the same number whether you're trading or selling outright.

What kinds of vehicles will you buy?

Any make, any model — not just Fords. We buy Chevy, Toyota, Honda, GMC, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, and competing brands regularly. We also buy high-mileage vehicles, lease returns, vehicles with minor damage, and vehicles that are paid off versus those with active loans. The TradePending trade estimate accounts for condition and mileage; bring it in and we'll show you the math.

How is the trade estimate calculated?

Our offers come from TradePending's trade estimation system, which uses real auction and retail data — not a black-box dealer formula. The offer reflects current Northwest Louisiana market values for vehicles in your specific condition. You can verify the math against TradePending.com's public estimates yourself.

What if I owe more than my car is worth?

It's called being upside-down or underwater on a loan. We handle this regularly. Options: pay the difference at sale, roll negative equity into your next vehicle's loan (extends your payoff timeline but lets you transition out of the underwater car), or hold the vehicle until your equity position improves. We'll show you the numbers for each path so you can decide based on your full financial picture.

Do you accept trade-ins?

Yes. Trade-in is the most common transaction at our store — apply your current vehicle's value toward a new or pre-owned Ford. Louisiana sales tax law gives trade-ins a meaningful sales tax advantage on the trade differential, which makes trading often financially better than selling outright and buying separately. Start with our online appraisal at hebertstownandcountryford.com/value-your-trade/.

What documents do I need for a trade-in?

Bring: vehicle title (or loan payoff information if you're financed), valid driver's license, current registration, and all vehicle keys and remotes. If your vehicle is financed, we'll handle the loan payoff coordination as part of the trade transaction. If you don't have the title because the bank holds it, we'll work directly with your lender.

If Something Needs Attention

I Need Service.

Whether it's routine maintenance, a warranty issue, a recall, or something that just feels off — here's everything you need to know about getting your Ford fixed at Hebert's.

How do I schedule service?

Schedule online at hebertstownandcountryford.com/schedule-service/ or call our service department directly at (318) 377-8694 to book by phone. Most appointments can be scheduled within a few days, with same-day availability for oil changes and Express Lane services. Our online scheduler shows real-time availability and lets you specify your concern so we can prepare the right diagnostic equipment.

Do I need an appointment for an oil change?

Express Lane oil changes don't require an appointment — just drive in. Express Lane services typically take 30-45 minutes and include synthetic oil change, filter, multi-point inspection, fluid top-off, and tire pressure check. For brake work, transmission service, diagnostic work, or major repairs, scheduling online or by phone helps us prepare your parts in advance and get you out faster.

Are your service technicians factory-trained?

Yes. Our service technicians are Ford-certified and trained on Ford's specific systems, technology, and service procedures. They use Ford's IDS (Integrated Diagnostic System) and FDRS scan tools — the same diagnostic equipment Ford engineers use — which means we can read manufacturer-specific codes that generic shops can't access.

Will service from a non-dealer void my warranty?

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects your right to use independent shops without voiding your factory warranty — provided the work is done correctly and to manufacturer specifications. The risk with non-dealer service is documentation: if a warranty claim arises later, you need a clear paper trail showing service was performed at the right intervals with the right specifications. Ford dealer service automatically creates that documentation in Ford's national database.

Do I have to bring my Ford to the dealer for warranty work?

Warranty repair work itself must be done at a Ford dealership to be covered under Ford's factory warranty. Routine maintenance can be done anywhere as long as it follows Ford's specifications. If your vehicle has a warranty issue — recall, manufacturer defect, or covered failure — bring it to a Ford dealer like ours. We bill Ford directly for warranty work; there's no out-of-pocket cost to you for covered repairs.

Are recall repairs free?

Yes. Recall repairs are completely free to the customer regardless of vehicle age or mileage — Ford pays the dealer to perform the work as a manufacturer's obligation. Bring us your VIN and we can check whether your specific vehicle has any open recalls. Most recall repairs take 1-3 hours depending on the part involved.

Can I service my vehicle here if I bought it elsewhere?

Absolutely. We service any Ford vehicle to manufacturer specifications regardless of where it was purchased. Many of our service customers bought elsewhere — sometimes from another Ford dealer, sometimes private-party — and now use us for service because of the certified-technician quality and the Ford-original parts. Your factory warranty is valid at any Ford dealer, so you don't need to return to your selling dealer.

Will my service history transfer between Hebert locations?

Yes. All three Hebert locations share the same dealer management system. If you serviced your Ford in Minden but later moved to Shreveport or Natchitoches, your full service history is accessible at any Hebert location. Note that for warranty repair work specifically, you'll need a Ford dealer (the Minden Ford store or another authorized Ford dealer) — the Shreveport and Natchitoches stores are CDJR/Stellantis dealers.

Do you carry Motorcraft and Ford parts?

Yes. We stock genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts on-site for all current Ford vehicles — meaning shorter wait times for repairs and warranty-compliant repairs that preserve your factory coverage. We don't substitute aftermarket parts to save money on warranty work, because aftermarket substitutions can void coverage and create liability for both you and us.

How long does service typically take?

Express Lane oil changes and basic services: 30-45 minutes. Brake work: 1-2 hours typical. Major service items like transmission flushes or timing components: 2-4 hours. Diagnostic work for intermittent issues can take longer because we need to replicate the condition. Same-day completion is typical for most services scheduled in advance.
